Miracle Exfoliator

MINT’s resident skin wizard Shirin Rahmatollahi has tons of tips to keep your skin amazing. She subscribes to the MINT philosophy of a natural and holistic approach to beauty and wellness, and as such, she’s always on the lookout for nature’s remedies for anything that ails the skin.
If you’ve been thinking about microdermabrasion to get rid of dull surface skin cells try this natural (and cost-effective!) remedy first.
Take a fresh lemon and squeeze a few drops of the juice into a bowl. Soak a cotton ball with the lemon juice and then smooth the cotton over your face as you would when applying a toner or astringent. Shirin swears by this secret for a brighter, smoother complexion. Try it out!

2 Simple Remedies for Winter Skin
February 11th, 2009 / Uncategorized
If you haven’t had a facial from MINT’s master licensed aesthetcian Shirin Rahmatollahi, you’re really missing out. Her signature facial is a serious experience. The 60-minute plus session includes cleansing, extractions and massage. She’ll massage your scalp, neck, back, arms and hands and leave you feeling brand new.
During a recent facial, she offered these simple remedies for combating that dreaded dry winter skin:
Olive Oil. If you’re super-dry, use this tip. After cleansing the skin, add a pea-sized amount of olive oil to your regular moisturizer and moisturize the mixture into your face and neck. She promises it will end your battle with dry skin.
Jojoba Oil. If you’re not too fond of that EVOO scent, drop by Whole Foods and grab a bottle of jojoba oil. Add to your moisturizer and, voila! Bye-bye dry skin!
